Certifications and Quality Recognition #
KINWA’s public information includes manufacturing safety certification, workforce development certification and references to international quality management and product marking. The scope of each certification depends on the specific machine, configuration and market, so buyers should request the current certificate or declaration for the model being purchased.
TS Mark for High-Speed Lathe Manufacturing #
On 25 December 2019, KINWA announced that it had become the first high-speed lathe manufacturer certified with the TS mark by the Metal Industries Research & Development Centre, a testing body approved by Taiwan’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
According to the announcement, buyers of new TS-marked machines could apply to Taiwan’s Ministry of Labor for a subsidy of up to NT$150,000 per year, with a maximum of NT$30,000 per machine.

ISO 9001 and CE MARK #
KINWA’s official website does not publish a dedicated certification page for ISO 9001 or CE. However:
- The Taiwan Association of Machinery Industry (TAMI) directory lists CHIN HUNG MACHINERY CO., LTD. with ISO 9001 and CE MARK in its certification field.
- A 2026 report in the Commercial Times states that KINWA has passed ISO 9001 quality management and TS occupational safety certification.
- KINWA’s official download center publishes catalog files whose names include CE for several models, including CL530, CL-100, CL-38/58 and CL-68/78.
These references indicate ISO 9001 and CE-related activity, but they should not be read as a blanket certification of every model. Confirm the applicable certificate, declaration of conformity and marking with KINWA for the exact machine and destination market.

Japan Market Inspection History #
Since 1985, KINWA lathes exported to Japan through G-NET under the HAMAMATSUKOKI brand were inspected by JMI (Japan Machinery & Metal Inspection Institute). KINWA describes this as an important foundation for its international market development. This is a market inspection history rather than a current product certification.
